SEA TURTLE
Habitat: coastal and pelagic water
Depth: 1-40m.
Size: up to 90cm.
Characteristics: this turtle can be recognised by its triangular pointed beak. It can both live in tropical seas and in temperate ones, even if it is now disappearing from the Mediterranean Sea. Its carapace has large superimposed plates and is brown yellowish with black marble effects. It has large flippers and on the front pair there are two big spines. It has sedentary habits and feeds on soft corals and sponges.
